With another monster lottery payout approaching tomorrow, most people will spend their fiver and contentedly realise that the odds of actually scooping such an enormous pile of cash are astronomically stacked against them. The members of two e-lottery EuroMillions syndicates shared wins totalling £12,560.40 in Friday’s draw, by matching four of their common syndicate numbers plus, of course, their two guaranteed “Lucky Star” numbers.
The prize for matching “4 and 2 Stars” was £2,628.70 - the amount an individual playing normally would have won… but each of our winning syndicates won £6,280.20.
How did the e-lottery syndicates win almost THREE TIMES as much money as an individual matching the same amount of numbers?
Not only did our lucky syndicates match 4+2, don’t forget that because of the way our numbers are distributed, that means each syndicate also had FOURTEEN lines that matched 4+1 Lucky Star, as well as TWENTY-ONE lines that matched 4+0 Lucky Stars!
